This foundational model focuses on adult development and the emotional understanding of what it means to be a parent, thus filling a void created by the traditional parenting classes which often focus on child development and disciplinary techniques.
The training also provides opportunities for participants to facilitate sections of the curriculum and to receive constructive feedback from the trainer and other training participants. By the end of the program, participants will be fully prepared to return to their organization and begin conducting Parenting Journey I groups with the parents and caregivers they support.
The training will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Maximum class size is 16.
