A curriculum for Haitian and Latino parents that provides an opportunity to share their immigration experiences, honor their cultural strengths, and use new strategies to confront the challenges of adapting to living in the United States and raising their bi-cultural children.
The training also provides opportunities for participants to facilitate sections of the curriculum and to receive constructive feedback from the trainer and other training participants. By the end of the program, participants will be fully prepared to return to their organization and begin conducting Parenting in America groups with the parents and caregivers they support.
This training will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. The maximum class size is 16.
