Quincy FRC Hosts Children of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Support Group

The Quincy FRC will host a Children of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (COASA) Group for children ages 11–14 on Tuesdays from 3:30–4:30 p.m. for six weeks, starting May 2.

Maureen McGlame, director and founder of COASA, will facilitate the group.  Topics and conversation will include:

  • Understanding the age appropriate effects of substance use on families
  • Develop coping skills to improve self-esteem and express feelings
  • Building positive and healthy relationships
