Presentation on Adverse Childhood Experiences

We would like to extend an invitation to you to attend the Nadine Burke Harris, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.P., presentation on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) which will be held on September 19, 2017 at Worcester Technical High School from 5:30-7:30 p.m., including a reception.   Edward Street Child Services is one of 14 sponsors for this special evening.

Dr. Burke Harris is arguably one of the most sought after physician speakers in the country on ACEs.  ACEs refer to toxic stress or family dysfunction in childhood which can impact health and learning as a child and manifest as chronic disease in adulthood.  It’s important to recognize that ACEs occur in all income, racial and ethnic groups.

We encourage you to attend this event as participants gather together from a broad cross section of our community to enhance our awareness of ACEs, learn how to alleviate their impact, and network together to effectively address them.

While the event is free, registration is required.
